1961 Nylint Chase & Sanborn Ford Ranch Truck in Original Box
This is the "Special" Chase & Sanborn version of Nylint's 4500 Ford pressed steel Ranch Truck. Comes complete with all six removable stake sections, all six miniature Chase & Sanborn product boxes, plus original box. Truck was an attic find purchased from an Indiana estate. It was one of a hoard of boxed toys which the owners bought for their grandchildren and never opened; until it was sold at auction a couple months ago. It has a brilliant turquoise enamel finish with white roof and stakes. Chase & Sanborn coffee can decals are on both doors. The interior is enclosed with wrap around transparent plastic windows. The bumper and headlight assembly, as well as the Ford embossed metal wheel centers are polished steel. It also has a Ford logo decal on the front. The tires are solid vinyl and have whitewalls with "Nylint Toys" and a catalog number in raised lettering. The back end also has a retractable trailer hitch underneath the bed. The box was printed in blue and has an illustration of the truck on three panels. The fourth is blank. Two of the printed panels include the truck name along with the "Chase & Sanborn Special" designation. The last panel shows a smiling kid face looking at ad-lines about the truck. One box end is still factory sealed. The staples were removed from the opened end. Size: 14¼" x 6" (wide) x 5¼". Sold: Nov. 2010
